About the Cultural District
Your new neighborhood is home to Pittsburgh’s arts and theater community — but that’s not all.
Restaurants
When you live at Press House, you’re right in the center of Pittsburgh’s best downtown dining. Some of our favorites include the Capital Grille, Pork & Beans, Meat & Potatoes, Sienna Mercato, Bridges and Bourbon, Union Standard, NOLA, City Works, Eleven, and Tako.
Transportation
Downtown Pittsburgh is full of public transit options to and from the Cultural District, including Port Authority buses, "T" light-rail service and Pittsburgh's famous inclines. (The Port Authority buses are even free for travel within the downtown zone until 7 pm, and the "T" is always free downtown!) You’ll also find modern options like Healthy Ride bikes, Uber, Lyft, and Scoobi.
Nightlife
Whether you’re looking for post-work happy hour or a full-blown night out, there are plenty of spots to choose from. Grab drinks at the Warren, The Standard & Pint, or Sienna Mercato — or, since you’re in the heart of the Cultural District, take in a show at The Benedum, Heinz Hall, Liberty Magic, or Greer Cabaret.
Recreation
There’s a ton to do just outside your door — kayak on Pittsburgh’s three rivers, visit the city’s world-class museums, take in a Steelers, Pirates or Penguins game, get some exercise on the riverfront walking trails, hit the nearby Rivers Casino, enjoy live music at Stage AE, or just take a stroll and admire your new downtown neighborhood.
